diZegno Instruction for Visual Art |
The guides have been written for those who may not be familiar with art concepts, such as generalist teachers or home schoolers, and who may therefore be uncomfortable with the subject. To speak to their concerns, simply-worded teachers’ notes are provided, making it easy to explain the lessons to students. The illustrations are plentiful and there is also a glossary of technical terms. It is hoped this comprehensive program will provide students with opportunities to learn skills for creative activity, which may also lead to higher order, critical thinking. We also believe that art classes may provide students with opportunities to integrate learning events from their own environment, and that art study in an organized manner would allow them a means to express visual phenomena with a visual vocabulary.
